The Project

My capstone project, called “Floating Wetlands” , sought to improve an experimental design (shown left) of a device that can filter nitrogen pollutants out of water bodies through a natural bacterial process. As this technology is highly innovative and subject to strict IP agreements, I cannot disclose direct engineering material regarding the project or show our design. However, I can share what my tasks on the team involved and how the overall project will function. As part of the team, I:

Use Case

This system will allow our clients to grow their testing capabilities by precisely changing input parameters to define their optimal model, and collecting data on how the system is performing under these different characteristics.

Current State

Currently my team and I are in the build phase of the project. We have compiled a bill of materials for it and are documenting the process so that our clients can build their own.

Next Steps

We will continue to build and troubleshoot the system until the end of the spring semester when we deliver the final version.
